- We are approximately 200 yards from the beach and 7 Blocks from the gay beach at Sebastian Street.
- Where are you located?
- We're located in the heart of the gay lodging district on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
- Is the resort clothing optional?
- Yes, the pool area and tropical courtyard.
- What type of clientele do you have?
- We attract a diverse mix of professional gay men from their 20’s to 60’s.
- Do you have a pool?
- Yes, we have a heated pool at a constant 87 Degrees and is clothing optional.
- Do you include breakfast?
- We have a continental breakfast served in our guest lounge from 8:00am to 11:00AM daily. We feature a variety of bagels, muffins, pastries, assorted cold cereal, fruit, imported fresh brewed coffee, tea and juice.
- How large is the resort?
- The resort consists of 14 units, a guest lounge and office.
- How far are the bars and clubs?
- Fort Lauderdale’s nightlife has something for everyone. Most bars and clubs are located within a 10-15 minute drive from the resort.
- How close are you to the airport?
- We are a short 15-20 minute ride from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. (FLL) Miami International (MIA) is approximately a 45 minute ride.
- Do I need to rent a car? Is there parking?
- We provide off street parking for our registered guests. With all the activity available a rental car will make it easier to get around. We suggest Gold Coast Car Rental and have a link to their website on our reservations page. If not, most points of interest are a short Taxi ride away. Taxi’s are available 24/7 within minutes of calling.
- Is there internet access?
- Yes, there’s a computer available for guest use in the lounge with printer connected to high speed DSL. We also offer complimentary security-enabled WiFi in guest rooms.
- Do you allow pets?
- Yes, we're a pet friendly property. Pets are not permitted in the pool area or in the lounge.
- What is the check-In / Check-Out time?
- Check- out: 11:00am Check-In: 2:00PM - Late Check-Out can be arranged with the front desk.
- How do I make a reservation?

- Are there restaurants within walking distance?
- There are several casual restaurants including a 24 hr pizza place as well as many better rated restaurants.
- Is there a spa nearby?
- The new "W" hotel 2 blocks away has the luxurious "Bliss Spa." There's also a 'gay' spa closeby.
“Excellent Resort, Amazing Staff”Dec 18, 2010
This is a truly wonderful resort! I stayed here for 6 nights in mid-December, and really enjoyed staying at the Cheston. The hotel is small and quaint, so the guests get to socialize with each other quite a bit, which makes for a far more interesting stay. My partner and I met some great people and even exchanged e-mails with a few of them. The pool is a good size and heated nicely (we were there during a chilly week!). Our room was VERY clean and bigger than expected. The beds were comfy, and I slept like a baby for 6 nights straight! The breakfast was a good way to help start off your day. The Cheston is in a great location, just a few steps to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the gay beach.
But what really stands out here is the staff. Chuck and his team are some of the nicest people I've ever met. If you ever needed anything, Chuck wouldn't hesitate to help you out. When I mentioned to Chuck that the wheel of my suitcase had broken off, he arrived the next day with a toolbox and driller so that we could fix it for the flight home. The Cheston has a "family" feel to it, and I think it's in large part because of Chuck's warm and friendly character.
So, in a nutshell, amazing staff, nice resort, good company, and excellent value for your money. Would definitely stay again.
